Essential Copper Bathroom Accessories for your Copper Bathtub
When you purchase a copper bath, you might find yourself wondering if there are any accessories that you need. We’ve decided to compile a list of products that can improve both the functionality and appearance of your bath.

Bath accessories you need for a copper bath
These bath accessories should be the first things you buy when your new copper bathtub arrives.
Bath Tap
You can’t have a bath without a tap, otherwise known as a faucet. However, consider what bath tap matches your bathtub, we sell a range of taps for copper baths. These include:
- Aged Copper Tap: If you are going for a rustic feel in your bathroom an aged copper tap will complete your design.
- Brushed Nickel Tap: Less striking than a copper coloured tap for a more understated effect.
- Traditional Chrome Tap: A shining silvery colour for the more traditionally designed bathroom.
One thing to note, tub faucets are not interchangeable with sink faucets. They are not interchangeable because the flow rate required for a sink is much lower than a tub so, you may get flooded if you install a bath tap on a sink!
Bath Waste
A bath waste or a waste plug is an absolute necessity for your bath. It simply holds the water in your bath. Made from a mixture of plastic and metal, it performs the function of catching any debris that could potentially damage your drain pipe or block it. Without it, you won’t be able to retain the water in the bath or effectively remove it. So, it is install it correctly to avoid any future drainage issues.
There are a few styles to choose from:
Pop up
A pop-up is engaged by pressing down on the bath waste, which either engages or releases a spring.
The pop-up model is our favourite style as it remains flush when installed. That’s why we stock pop-up copper bath wastes at the Copper Bath Company.
Plug and chain
Typically attached to your overflow, a plug and chain is the most basic form of bath waste. The plug is inserted into the drain flange to cover your drain pipe. These can give your bathroom a very classic and antique feel. The chain, unfortunately, risks being broken whenever it is tugged or pulled, however, there is no mechanism so it is the least likely style to get damaged.
Flip-top
By pressing the stopper left or right, you can create an entry into the waste body and drain pipe. A flip-top can also be aesthetically pleasing because it remains flush like a pop-up.

These next accessories won’t be required to have a functioning copper tub. However, these accessories will improve your bathroom design.
